A captivating geological secret from the rugged shores of the Upper Peninsula. This substantial 1.4kg Yooperlite sphere is a masterclass in mineral transformation. To the naked eye, it appears as a sophisticated, mottled syenite rock, but under ultraviolet light, it reveals its true nature: a vibrant, glowing map of fluorescent sodalite. We curated this large-format sphere for its 'Moon-like' texture and high concentration of reactive inclusions. When illuminated with a 365nm UV torch, the stone erupts in fiery orange and gold embers, mimicking the appearance of a celestial body or a cooling planet. It is a striking, interactive piece that bridges the gap between traditional mineralogy and modern discovery.
