A mesmerizing 'glowing' specimen from one of the most unique localities in the Eastern United States. This hand-finished cabochon hails from the famous Red Embers Mine (previously the 'Two Fat Guys' Mine) in Massachusetts. We curated this piece for its extraordinary visual drama; translucent, blood-red Almandine Garnets are suspended within a satiny, jet-black Graphite matrix. When backlit, the garnets appear to ignite from within, resembling smoldering coals in a dark hearth. This contrast between the metallic sheen of the graphite and the fiery clarity of the garnets makes it an essential acquisition for collectors of rare American minerals.
