A superb, verified example of Native Copper (Cu) displaying an extraordinarily open, three-dimensional arborescent growth habit from the historic Chino Mine (Santa Rita) in Grant County, New Mexico. The copper forms a tall, delicate branching structure reminiscent of a miniature metallic tree, with numerous thin, leaf-like projections and intricate natural voids throughout the specimen.
The surface exhibits rich copper-red to dark brown tones with subtle areas of green secondary mineralization, creating an impressive contrast across the branching structure. The Chino Mine is internationally renowned for producing some of the finest North American arborescent copper formations. At 6 inches in height, this is an unusually substantial, highly sculptural piece for such an open, delicate growth pattern.
