Mineral Description
This fluorite specimen displays a rich, saturated purple color with remarkable stepped cubic growth, giving it an almost architectural “staircase” appearance. The crystals show excellent luster with translucent zones ,internal zoning, and rainbow flashes from natural cleavage planes.
Mineral Dimensions
7.4 x 6.4 x 4.8cm (2.9 x 2.5 x 1.9 inches)
Weight: 290g
Locality
Huanggang Mine, Inner Mongolia, China.
Originally labeled as Anhui but after investigation this is a stepped cubic fluorite from Huanggang, Inner Mongolia. Looks like a crystal staircase carved in amethyst light. Often misattributed to Anhui, the terraced habit makes Huanggang pieces instantly recognizable.
All specimens include a label bearing the mineral name and origin as well as provenance label(s) for the specimen, if any.
Note: Each piece is handpicked for quality and uniqueness.
