The scepter habit is very well-defined here, you can clearly see the secondary, darker purple amethyst crystals growing around the central, lighter-colored quartz stem. The high luster and complex "skeletal" faces are textbook for this specific Zimbabwe find. A masterwork of African elestial growth.
This specimen displays exceptional skeletal growth patterns and high-luster faces. As is common with large, hand-mined scepters from Zimbabwe, it exhibits minor, natural pocket wear that does not detract from its significant display impact.
