This stunning specimen of Ruby Jack Sphalerite hails from the world-renowned Huxingshan Mine in China—a mineral hotspot famous for its high-quality sphalerite and other ore deposits. Known for its unique color and crystal formation, this particular variety features the rare Ruby Jack style, characterized by vibrant reddish-brown to ruby-colored hues within the sphalerite crystals. This sphalerite exhibits distinctive, well-formed tetrahedral or dodecahedral shapes.  The distinctive reddish-brown to ruby-red tones of the sphalerite are the result of iron impurities, giving the crystals a rich, deep color that stands out against its more common yellow or brown counterparts. These perfectly formed crystals demonstrate the precise, natural geometry that collectors seek out in rare mineral specimens.
